History:

Both Kennedy/Jenks Consultants and Todd Engineers have had a long history of serving the water industry, and both have developed successful practices based on technical excellence, strong client relationships, and personalized service.

Kennedy/Jenks Consultants was founded in 1919 by Clyde C. Kennedy, one of the first Masters Degree graduates in the School of Public Health and Sanitary Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.

In the mid-1970s, Kennedy Engineers formed a joint venture with the firm of Jenks & Harrison and, finding that their practices were compatible, the two firms combined forces to become Kennedy/Jenks Engineers.

The firm has provided personalized water and wastewater services to clients in the western states for over 80 years.

Todd Engineers has specialized in planning, developing, and protecting groundwater in the U.S. for 25 years.

The staff of hydrogeologists, geochemists, and engineers has provided high quality groundwater consulting on projects that include artificial recharge, groundwater basin management, sea water intrusion, and groundwater contamination.

Founder David K. Todd, Ph.D., served as Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, for many years and is recognized internationally for his textbook, Groundwater Hydrology.
